Hello everybody! Yulianna is with you.
Today I will show you three very different cards made with Mudra stamps and another Mudra products. August 31 - the last day of our  # 13  - Spotlight Challenge.

First card - spotlight card

I used wonderful Wild rose and sweet sentiment from Floral fantasy stamps

  • Cut out two sheets of white cardstock.
  • Stamped flowers and leaves  (Wild roses stamp set)  and sentiment (Floral fantasy stamp set)
  • Painted a rose and leaves in the center of the card
  • Added golden Mudra Sequins

Second card - Masking technique

  • I create masks (Mudra Stamping mask sheet) Mask for squirrel and landscape
  • Stamped squirrel and sentiments, cover up the mask.
  • Using masks for the landscape, first cover the top of the future hill, tint distress - ink, then cover the bottom and tint with the distress ink of the sky
  • Stamped and coloring tiny flowers from Playful bunny set, cut an glue on a  card.
  • Painted the squirrel

Third card - Contrast, heat embossing
I really like the contrasts of black and bright palette.

  • Cut a frame from a gold cardstock or take a finished one
  • Using the technique of embossing, I added the sentiment  and leaves with a gold embossing powder
  • Separately painted with alcohol markers a flower and a bud from a Persian motives set of stamps
  • Add gold accents (used Sacura golden gel pen)
Soon see you again!

Persian Elements | Five Water Colored Cards

Hey, hi, hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens and welcome back! Today I am going to show five water colored cards made using only one stamp set - 'Persian Elements', which is a very beautiful set.

I used the same sketch on all my cards and I enjoyed a lot making these.. And I stuck onto the color scheme like brown-purple, brown-pink, brown-orange and etc.

I started by stamping the images on a heavy white card stock and water colored them with Camlin Brush Pens. I added details to the flower with Gold Pigment Pen.

I wanted the background of the card to be brown in color. So I water colored the background with brown Koi water color.

I let the panel dry and once it's dry, I added splatters of Gold Pigment Paint.

Before adhering the image I stamped the sentiment in Archival Jet Black Ink.

Finally adhered the image to finish my card design.

I hope you like these simple water color cards and I hope you would try making these! ;)

Thank you so much for visiting. Take care and I will see you next time :) Also do participate in our Spotlight Challenge.

Guest Designer - Preeti Datta

Hello!!!

Happy Monday Morning!! Hope you all had a great weekend. Today we have a very talented crafter who makes everything from cards, layouts and other paper craft projects!! Pretti Dutta (aka Dutt Preety) She has a very versatile style, I totally love the way she inks, embellish and layer her Mixed Media Layouts!!!

Let’s see what she has to inspire us today!!

** PICTURE HEAVY POST**

"Hi friends !
First of all, I’d like to say a big thanks to Varshitha for having me as a Guest Designer. I had a lot of fun making projects and made quite a few because of all the excitement.  I will be sharing the projects in 2 posts, this is part 1 and part 2 will follow soon. I’ve done simple cards here, some of these are in the CAS style. CAS, for the uninitiated means Clean and Simple, essentially it is about preserving white space, having minimal layers with the less is more approach. I find it a particularly challenging style because there is nothing to hide behind, since there are very few elements on the card. So, let’s get started.

In cards 1 to 5, I have stamped on watercolor paper and then done simple watercoloring with zig clean color real brush markers and an aqua brush.

Card 1:

Mudra Supplies Used: Stamp- Hummingbirds, Mini Bunch and Mudra Sequins- Harvest Mix

Card 2:

Mudra Supplies Used: Mini Stamp- Floral Flourish

Card 3:

Mudra Supplies Used: Stamp- Crazy Monsters

Card 4:

Mudra Supplies Used: Mini Stamp- Mini Bunch

Card 5:

Mudra Supplies Used: Mini Stamp- Whaley Love, Mudra Clear Sequins

Card 6:

Card 7:

Mudra Supplies Used: Stamp- Floral Fantasy #1
For both cards 6 and 7, I have done ink blending using distress oxides and distress inks and then for added interest, created oxidization marks with water. I love this stamp set, so made 2 similar designs using it.

Card 8:

Mudra Supplies Used: Stamp- Doodled Elements, Mudra Sequins- Harvest Mix
For this card, I stamped the images on watercolor paper, did some basic coloring with zigs and then fussy cut the images. Did ink smooshing on the card panel to create an organic looking background and then adhered the fussy cut images to the panel. Finished the card with a few sequins and ink splatter.

Card 9:

Mudra Supplies Used: Mini Stamp- Nuts About You, Mudra Sequins- Candy Pink
This is such a very cute stamp set so wanted to make a shaker card with it. I’ve added die cuts and sequins as the shaker elements.

Hope you liked the projects!
Would love to read your wonderful comments.
Thanks a lot for your time.

Stay Blessed and Happy Crafting.”

Here is all you have to keep your crafty mojo up for the whole week. I totally enjoyed the prettiness and variations she showed in each cards! I am sure you all liked it too!!

Monochromatic Tags with a Pop of Color

Hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens and today I would like to share a few 'monochromatic tags with a pop of color' with you all and that pop of color would be Red! ;) I used a bunch of cute images for my project today.

I started by stamping all the cute images on white card stock and water colored them with a slight touch of grey and brown colors, you can hardly see it in the pictures!

While the images was drying I went ahead and die-cut the second largest 'tag' from Timholtz's Tag Framelit Dies collection by running through the Big Shot Express Machine.

Then I stamped Pixels stamp on all the tags at an angel in Memento London Fog Ink.

And in the next step I added tiny droplets of black paint

Once the paint dries, I adhered all the cute images as shown above

Now for the pop up of color, I drew a few red hearts with Prawn Color Copic Marker.

Next I added sentiment strips at the top of the tags!

To give more depth and to complete the design I added the circular die-cut along the hole of the tag! I think I did make some sense in explaining the 'hole' thing!! :P

(stamps used : pixels, giraffe mini and furry friend)

Here are the few shots of the tags and I just love how they turned out! :)

(stamps used : pixels, zinnia, purely sentiment brushed and whaley love)

(stamps used : pixels, hippo baby, capture and sail away)

And that's all for today. Thank you so much for stopping by and also don't forget to participate in our current challenge where the theme is Spotlight Technique
